Claire presents a new audio piece, Walking/On, for Duetrospectives; a collection of Jess Curtis’ duets over the years, reimagined by his collaborators. Walking/On steps and speaks on/of past dances from the show “The Way you look (at me) Tonight”, drawing from voice recordings, rehearsal notes/writings, and the sound world created by composer Matthias Hermann.
The work is also shaped by an attendance to audio description practices used by Claire and Jess that were a key element of the show and both artists practices.
